Covering 4528 square kilometers, the Cairngorms National Park is the largest in the UK, double the size of the Lake District.
With breathtaking viewpoints, dramatic mountains and an abundance of wildlife like no where else, the Cairngorms is in a league of it’s own. The Cairngorms provide a unique alpine semi-tundra moorland habitat combining ancient woodland with many of the tallest mountains in the UK. Deep valleys display the movements of huge glaciers during the last ice age and make for the best scenery the UK has to offer.
Simply take a drive along the A939 (Old Military Road) and you will see. Viewed by many as the UK’s most scenic drive, the beauty of this magical place is clear.
With more forest trails, rivers, loch’s, wildlife hotspots and quaint villages than you could possibly imagine, a visit to the Cairngorms is a trip loved by all.
